Gandalf stood nearby, in the shadows, making no sound, and showing no expression. His left eye gleamed with a distant light, and he began to smile.
"Yes, peace will come, Lord Austin. Unfortunately, much blood will be shed before that peace comes. Watch over Ara, do not hurt her as Tinaldor has. She needs you, and you need her..." said Gandalf to Austin through his mind. "Take care..." he then said aloud, as only a whisper however, as he walked away.

Austin's eyes snapped open - he was a light sleeper
"I will do that master Wizard, you have my oath"
he said seemingly to the world in general

Tinaldor watched from a distance, hiding in the shadows. Excellent, just perfect. That elf had played his part perfectly, unwittingly. The rest was up to him now. All he needed was to gain Austins friendship. He genuinly liked the new arrival, a veteran of hardship himself. He had only to see him fight, then he would know for sure. If he truely was a warrior of such deeds, the why had one of his scots not recruited him? Never mind, things were in motion now. Placing his cloak over his head, he slipped out of the gate, and rode off towards Mordor.

Austin had gone back to sleep since he responded to Gandalf, he sat back on the bench, still asleep, he registered Tinaldor's presence but was too tired to do anything about it, he slept on, holding Ara in his arms, each warmed by the presence of the other

Ara woke slowly keeping her breathing soft she opened her eyes and looked at Austin.she smiled softly knowing she was in his arms.she moved forward a little bit and kissed his forehead lightly knowing he would waken at that."Austin.we should go back to the pub and sleep there.tis too cold outside to stay here right now."she spoke softly enjoying being nearby him and being warmer than she had been.

Ara smiled tiredly and nodded."aye I'll direct you Austin."she reached down and took up her daggers.she felt a slight sense of danger and she knew Tinaldor had been here.she had felt his presense in her sleep.she looked at Austin and her gaze was troubled and concerned:"do you know how long Tinaldor was here for Austin?I felt his presense in my sleep and something does not feel right now..something is wrong my friend."

that was the only estimation he could give, he had not been that conscious at the time. he allowed her to pick up her equipment and then he set off towards the pub, still carrying her, taking directions from her as they went

*walks in, lightly armed, no armor or anything, and looks around. sees austin and ara and says* oh, hello, didn't mean to disturb. i suppose you already know this but tinaldor is hiding out there in the shadows of those trees. i guess he thought he was perfectly concealed.... whoops, guess that meant I wasn't supposed to find him. oh well. he is too much of a coward to attack me anyway. I thought i would find you here ara, just to meet real quick. *extends his hand to austin, then realizes he may not be able to use it* pleased to make your aquaintance, I am Procneus, and believe I have not yet met you. Its unfortunate, you've been around for a while. I have just come out of what you could call a brief sabbatical..... during that time there was peace. I guess you could say the war on the horizon brought me out..... but one cannot hide forever, you have to come out and deal with your problems rather than sit around and mope about them. Anyway, pleased to meet you.

*comes back into the garden and sees ara.* well met indeed, been a while i'll admit. I guess i just have a few questions, one of which is, why is tinaldor so ticked off? what exactly did we do that made him decide to lose his entire army?

Ara closed her eyes."a while ago now Nan Elmoth was attacked by an army of men.they were basically leaderless and they took our children and killed them."she shuddered remembering that day and continued her voice emotionless:"they forced me to watch but when Tinaldor returned I told him about it now he seems to have abandoned all reasons to leaving the world of men in peace."she stopped then very well aware of the fact that she was near to tears and trembling.she took a deep breath and brought herself back under control.
