"Though the glory days of old are long since gone, and the splendor of Middle-earth as we once knew it has faded beyond a shadow of recognition. I once more proclaim the tower of Orthanc and the Circle of Isengard renewed. I cannot ever hope to see the magnificent standards of my friends on the horizen, and it seems foolish for me to even hope to see some of my old friends ever again, but for me, life shall forever drift on here. Welcome to all, I say. Welcome to Orthanc; welcome to Isengard; welcome to Middle-earth; welcome to life!" said the old wizard, hunched and leaning on his staff for support, and a tattered scabbard without a sword hanging from his belt.

Ara appeared, her eyes wise and knowing as she watched the wizard. She bowed and said very quietly, holding out a hand in token gesture of support and friendship. "Strength in battle is no reward for the long hours that come with the prices we pay for living as long a life as we do. The elven races have dwindled, almost to naught, only those hardy few have remained in Middle Earth, the last few of Men, Halfings, Dwarf's and Light elves have gone to the West, to Valinor in the heat of all our battles, do we end it now before we perish and our sons and daughters take the full force of the consequences of our actions? I want no more part in whatever evils have taken this world, just to live out the life I choose with my husband and my children." She knelt, leaning one hand on the ground to support herself, and drew the sleeve of her tunic back to reveal the scars of battles long fought. She drew out the gem Gandalf had given her, pulsing in time with her heartbeat. "Will you meet me in the southern tower in the palace at Nan Elmoth for old times' sake Gandalf?" She said softly, meeting his eyes.
