Ara looked at him and then her face drained of all color as she stood and said quietly:"if you die then I die with you.I will NOT go through the pain I felt when you left Tinaldor Nenharma.I would rather slit my throat than see you die."she was shaking and suddenly she couldn't move as everything came finally to a head within her.she took her hand from her stomach and whispered:"my fate is to live alone,my fate is to watch everything around me wither and die.then I shun fate and I curse my destiny for I would rather be with you Tinaldor.then make the mistakes I did when I was younger."she looked at him and then she spoke quietly:"if this is my fate then consider me failed in my quest and task.I have failed."she sank to her knees and then from there whispered:"I have failed....everything."

Tinaldor picked her up, and took her hands in his.
"Failed... you have not. Me, you and our daughter have our place in the halls of mandos. Our son and his wife ruling our kingdom, making it better then ever. And it is our fate my dear. In the words of our stubborn friend, death is only the beggining. Our love togther for eternity, away from pain. That i look forward to. "

Ara couldn't reply to that.she closed her eyes against the tears forming behind then and she was breathing in ragged breaths,trying to control herself before she did begin crying.it wasn't working.she buried her head in Tinaldor's shoulder and the sobs finally overwhelmed her as she began to cry softly.she was not afraid of death.but she was afraid of losing Tinaldor.she knew that he knew it.she felt herself sinking into an oddly peaceful darkness as she felt the sapphire pendant infused with her mothers spirit stir over her heart and she felt Geran's comforting touch on her shoulder as her mother stood beside her no longer dead.and her face was gentle as she took her daughter from Tinaldor's arms."Ara be at peace,the only way you are going to fail is if you hand the sapphire pendant to evil and it will not allow that to happen.be at peace." Ara felt Geran kiss her forehead and she whispered:"how?" Geran spoke quietly:"I can go through life and through death Ara.all the bearers of the pendant's are able to do that.you should know that by now daughter." "then.....Mother!how could you?!you...you died though!and you told me you would not be able to return!" "I lied.for me to return at the birth of Belegron and Daran would have been painful to you.and I could not risk you collapsing."Ara looked at her mother her face shocked as she gasped:"you LIED?! you lied to me about dying?!thats important mother!!"she groaned and put her head in her hands.Geran lifted her chin and said softly:"Ara you know as well as I do that the pendants were powerful even before Gandalf bound them.you knew that."Ara closed her eyes not wishing her mother to see the pain she was in.Geran took her into her arms and said quietly to Tinaldor:"Tinaldor how much did you tell her of the future and what parts?"Ara felt herself falling asleep in her mothers arms and her breathing steadied as she calmed down a little.her eyes closed and she felt Geran kiss her forehead and whisper:"sleep 'twill seem better when you wake...sleep daughter.."

Tinaldor winced at Geran's question. Bowing his head he kneeled before her.
"I am sorry. I could not hide our future from her. somethings I still hold back, for they would hurt her more. but she now knows the fate of both my sons, of our daugther, and myself."

Geran touched his shoulder and said quietly:"Tinaldor.dont hide things from her.she is far stronger than she appears.and it will make her angry at you to find that you have hidden things from her.Ara knows a lot of things that she could have changed but she knows it will not make her life and yours any easier changing them.she is stronger than even I know of.what she did to Kastel would have driven most people insane.but she has nnot faltered yet.and she will not,not as long as you are with her.did you know she almost commited suicide when you left?if you will notice she has two scars across her wrists and many others from training so hard after you left.she loves you far more than she knows and she will follow you."she stroked her daughter's forehead and then reaching over embraced Tinaldor gently.she smiled kindly and said:"rise Tinaldor you need not kneel before me.I am no queen,just the mother of yours.and it seems she was somewhat ill....is she with child again Tinaldor?"Ara was half awake at this time and she mentally groaned as Geran asked that.she kept her eyes closed and her breathing as if one asleep but she had to fight not to burst out laughing.

Ara opened her eyes and they sparkled with amusement when she looked at Geran.she sat up and a small smile curved her lips upwards as she spoke softly:"tell me if you can tell mother."Geran looked at her waistline and then embraced her tightly and kissed her forehead.she stood up and then Geran steadied her as a wave of dizziness came over her.she sat down and Geran spoke quietly:"how long have you been having those dizzy spells?" "a while now.I thought they'd go away on their own."Ara looked at Tinaldor and touched his hand gently with hers and a slightly worried look entered her eyes.she felt Geran touch her cheek and then her mother spoke softly:"do not be worried Ara.you will come through all right."she smiled wanly and rested her head against the back of the chair.

Tinaldor kneeled down in front of Ara, and smiled.
"Nothing you have to fear, my love. Let fate bring what it will. But our love, yours and mine, shall last an eternity."

Ara smiled and then said softly:"tis a good thing I have you two to help this.I would have lost all hope otherwise."Geran smiled and kissed her forehead and embraced her gently.Ara looked at her mother and with a snap of her fingers summoned the sapphire circlet and Geran held it gently and then placed it against Ara'a forehead and said:"I'm suprised you've only worn it once." "yes it caused me to have dreams if I wore it too often.and I doubt Tinaldor wishes me to toss and turn all night awake."she laughed softly and Geran looked at her with a slight smile curving her lips.

"But yes, i would want her to have her rest, for just once. too many nights she has tossed and turned."

Ara suddenly blushed at Tinaldor's comment.she took the cup of tea Geran handed her.she sighed and her mother lightly flicked her on the arm."drink it Ara.or else.ale will do far worse things to you if you are pregnant.believe me I dont think you wish to find out what.so drink it."she looked at Tinaldor with a raised eyebrow and her look said quite clearly:"laugh and I'll make you drink this."she drank part of the cup and grimaced at the bitterness.she then drank the rest and had to stop herself from gagging and making the tea come up again.Geran pressed a hand to her shoulder and said:"stay still Ara."Ara smiled and said softly:"now you see why I do not drink tea often mother.except when I have to."she laid a hand to her stomach and felt her son move and she paled briefly and Geran noticed."is he making you dizzy again?"Ara nodded mutely,not trusting her stomach at that point.
