Not far from Austin & Ara's palace stood the millitary barracks, normally it was pretty quiet but today was an exception to that, everywhere there was action; soldiers training, soldiers sparring, Blacksmiths working on armour.
Austin strode through the maelstrom of action, watching everything intently, occasionally shouting orders to keep things going. he was secretly really proud of the army, they had taken to his leadership easily, embracing his new tactical ideas like a swan to water.
He spotted his core soldiers, their armour was jet black, each carried a swordbow of Austin's own design. Austin had trained each one of these elves personally in stealth tactics and hand to hand combat; they would be his main troupe for the mission. He watched with amusement as his second in command (a young elf named Kunoichi) trained with some of his regular soldiers, he hoped secretly that some of her skill would wear off on his regular soldiers; she had been his best student.
