Tinaldor motioned to a dwarven guard, who picked her up, and laid her on a bench nearby. He grabbed another by the scruff of the neck, and lifted him off the ground. "Go fecth Mithrandir now! ride as swiftly as you can, for his wife is ill."

Aeri lay still and could not move. Then suddenly, in front of her closed eyes, a flash of light shone brightly. Aeri stood in disbelief at the elf in front of her. He was handsome, her height, with short brown hair and deep blue eyes. "Mother, I am your son. There is truth in it, I promise." Aeri shook her head. "No, you are not telling the truth, you lie! What is your name, stranger?" The man looked at his feet, then back up at Aerianeth. "Amras." Aeri's jaw dropped, she put a hand to her head and sat down in a nearby chair. She placed her head in her hands. "You cannot be Amras, Amras died when he was a few hours old. He never lived." Amras walked over to Aeri and put a gentle hand against Aeri's cheek. "Mother, I didn't die. Your mother, she took me away." Aeri began to cry, her shoulders shaking. "Please don't cry Mother, I am here now, your son will protect you, I promise." Aeri's eyes opened suddenly, a hand against her chest, her breathing fast. "What happened?"

Tinaldor was crouched next to her, a hint of worry in his eyes. "I am as lost as you, Aeri. Perhaps the Wizard can shed some light.... for he is wiser then me."

Aeri sat up fast. "My dream, it was again about my son. Amras." She repeated his name slowly in her mind. She put a hand to her forehead and closed her eyes.

"This son of yours worries me. His arrival coincides with my wifes brother. It cannot be mere coincidence. If I meet him, and he does not give me reason to keep him alive, I shall slay him, you understand?"

Ara stepped out of the shadows as Tinaldor spoke.her face was calm but her eyes glinted coldly as she looked at her husband."And what will you do if he does give you a reason Tinaldor Nenharma?"she looked at him with a piercing gaze as she kept her eyes on his.she spoke softly:"let the boy live Tinaldor.let him live.for Aeri as much as anyone else as he is her son.let him live and let Gandalf have the chance to do as he wishes with his son as well."she then looked at Aeri and said quietly:"are you all rigtht Aerianeth?"

Tinaldor sat down quietly. He realised his old self had come out. He sat there quietly, staring at the ground, unsure of himself. "Do what you will."

Aeri spoke with anger. "You will never hurt him, you are not to touch him, you understand?" She got up from her bench and leant against the hard stone wall. "This has nothing to do with anyone, nothing. You shouldn't have found out, I shouldn't have told you. My problems have nothing to do with yours." She spat the words and banged the wall with her fist.

Ara knelt beside Tinaldor and then she gently raised his chin with her hand and said softly:"it is all right Tinaldor.you were concerned please ignore my words."she looked at Aeri and then swallowed and whispered:"why do you say such things now Aerianeth?why now?and why in such a manner?we are trying to help you."Ara took Tinaldor's hand in her own then she spoke softly:"you say they are no ones problems but yours Aeri.they may be that but we are still your friends and we still are concerned."

"This has nothing to do with you. Please, let it rest. I can sort out my own problems, I always have, nothing has changed. I can't do this anymore. The only reason I haven't left these lands is because of Gandalf. I promised to stand by him, and that is what I am doing."

"Well it seems then that you do not value our friendship. As much as that hurts me, I shall let it be. But I warn you now, your sons arrival is intertwined with many peoples fate. you would be wise to seek council from others. Talk to Gandalf at the least. But i say farewell." Tinaldor kissed Ara on the cheek, slipped on his hood, and walked out.

Aeri shook her head. "I can't do this anymore, I can't." Aeri pulled out her dagger and ran her finger along the blade. She held it to her chest. "There are no other options."

Ara stood then said quietly:"and you think killing yourself or leaving is Aerianeth?I have felt death more than once.you do not know the pain I felt when I died.you know nothing of the pain I felt when I saw Tinaldor dead beside me.think of your daughter, and Gandalf.think of how they would feel if you left or you died.for once in your life Aeri think of this before you do it.do not walk blindly into this.think of your daughter.she needs a mother."Ara bowed her head and said softly, her voice a whisper:"Aeri I need you.I need your help.please...please do not do this..please..."she sank to her knees before her friend and whispered:"please Aerianeth.I beg you....please..."she raised her face and then she got to her feet and then said:"you know where I am if you ever need me.think on what I said.do not end it just yet.please.." she turned and walked shoulders bowed out of the hall, tears running down her cheeks as she called her horse and rode at a gallop towards Nan Elmoth.

Aeri let her white hair fall in front of her eyes. "YOU MUST LEAVE ME AMRAS, YOU KNOW YOU ARE MAKING THIS WORSE. I DON'T WANT YOU TO GO, BUT IT IS DESTINY." She screamed, then collapsed to the floor, her tears making an imprint in the dust on the floor. "Why is this happening? How dare they. How dare he. Mother always said I was prone to wrong timing." Aeri gripped the dagger in her hand and pressed it's cold blade against her warm skin. She pulled the blade along, with her eyes watering. As she let go of the dagger, she panted heavily. "What have I done? What have I done?" She wept and cried out, "You have controlled me for too long, too long." The blood dripped from her arm and hit the floor off her fingers. "No more, you will be beaten."

Ara stood in the shadows listening.she folded her hands over her swelling stomach and whispered softly:"at least you have your son Aerianeth.I wish I could have had the first son I bore.but at least you have your son....may the Valar watch over you.fare thee well my sister."she turned and then walked silently from the hall.she stopped in the entrance and whispered:"be safe Aeri...be safe and be well."she disappeared from view.
