Several weeks later.:
Ara paced the bedroom holding Karayan in her arms,the child sleeping and loved in her mother's arms."Oh Austin..where are you my love?...what battles do you fight?" she whispered as she sat down,watching the winter snow falling outside the window.she shivered slightly,pulling her hair back from her face as her hands trembled.she set Karayan in the cradle next to her bed and sat down on the window seat,her eyes cold gray.she curled up in as tight a ball as she could and set her head on her knees.feeling tired but thinking she would go get a bath soon,she undressed and taking all but one dagger off she walked naked into her bathroom and taking that off and putting it nearby stepped into the warm water.she knew Geran was nearby so she didn't have to worry about Karayan.

A matter of Minutes Later
Austin arrived back in the palace, the mission had been a success and now he was just desperate to see his love.
In the hall ways he greeted a few servants and exchanged pleasentries before continuing towards his and Ara's chamber.
He opened the door quietly and stepped inside, he could hear Ara in the bath and he decided to make as little noise as he could so as to surprise her.
He crouched next to Karayan's crib and gazed at her, a hand gently stroking her head.
She has Ara's eyes...
he kissed her forehead and then crept over to their bed and laid down to wait for Ara's return

Ara's eyes opened and she smiled,sensing Austin's presence but letting him have his moment of surprise.she drew on a robe and let her hair down to fall in waves across her shoulders,her eyes sparkling as she walked softly to the door,a soft scent of rose clinging to her from the bath.she opened the door and walked softly out into the bedroom.
she stood at the window,just gazing at him then moved to the bed and sat down at his side and placed her hand genly against his cheek.her eyes deep blue."welcome home my love."she said very softly.

Austin kissed her softly on the lips, a hand caressing hers softly
"thank you o love of my life"
he replied equally softly, gazing lovingly at her, he felt like he hadn't been with her in years and also a feeling of relief to be home

Ara kissed him back passionately,her eyes never leaving his,she had missed him so very very much.she moved to where she was laying down at his side,her hand continuing to softly caress his cheek as she gazed at him,so very glad he had come home safe.

Ara kissed Austin lovingly,her eyes not leaving his as she moved to where she was leaning on one elbow."oh I have missed you Austin..and come.shall we wash away the travel dust and get you something to eat my love?"she asked softly,the sparkle showing in her eyes as she gently kissed his forehead.she got up and gently picked up Karayan as the girl laughed in the way children do,she sat down beside Austin again and smiled softly at him.

Ara kissed Austin's lips softly before standing up as Geran came in and handing Karayan to her.
"don't stay up too late Aroura.you've got training in the morning also."
Ara gave Geran a Who?me?would I do that? look followed by an innocent grin as Geran lightly kissed her forehead,both of thier eyes sparkling."you know I won't mother.I am not so foolish that I would sleep through training."Geran grinned at her and touched her shoulder."that is good because then I would have to make you redo the entire study.."

Ara smiled lovingly back at Austin,her heart in her eyes.Geran gave them both a look as if to say very well then I will let you go on to having your fun. she smiled and said:"Good night you two."she said as she closed the door behind her.Ara laughed very softly and moved to where her arms were around Austin,her robe revealing one leg as she had it lightly against his.she was still very thin in the months after Karayan's birth but most of that was due to training as much as she did.

when they were alone, he wrapped his arms around Ara, one of his hands caressing her leg softly as he leaned in to kiss her.
