Ara felt the world fading around her untill only Austin was there.she held him close and kissed him softly again.she heard Geran's footstep and looked up at her mother's entrance.Geran spoke softly:"Austin what happened?why did you run out of the ball?"Ara closed her eyes.hiding her face against Austin's shoulder not wanting to explain what had happened tonight.

he said to Geran, sensing that Ara didn't want to answer

Geran nodded and said quietly:"I expect it is."Ara looked at her mother and Austin and relaxed at his touch on her back.Geran came to Ara's side and gently touched her cheek."you are as pale as a ghost Aroura."Ara resisted the comment that came to her mind.

Ara kissed Austin's cheek softly,comforted by the knowledge of his always being there with her.she was trembling slightly.her hand gently rubbing his softly.Geran looked at her and said quietly:"how far did you go Aroura?"she looked at her mother and said very softly:"too far for my own good and I am paying for it..believe me I am.."Geran nodded and Ara could read the expression on her face.I should have taught her myself...it would be better than the idiot who trained her in these ways... she closed her eyes tiredly and Geran put her cloak over her shoulders."you forgot to take yours."she said at Ara's grateful smile.

Austin cuddled close to Ara, only half listening to the conversation going on around him, his eyes were only on her, as they had been since the day he'd met her

Geran looked at Ara and said softly:"daughter tomorrow you and I shall start reviewing all of your magical talents.you need to learn your limits as do I.now I am going to bed and so should you two."Geran left and Ara cuddled close to Austin.she looked into his eyes,her's reflecting all of her love and devotion.she loved him so much.

Austin returned her gaze, completely lost in and enchanted by her, kissing the tip of her nose tenderly, he spoke to her softly
